About the company

We are presently recruiting for a Project Systems Librarian for a Professional membership body.  This is either a full-time 2-week project or a part-time project 1 to 2 days for a couple of months. The main objective is to investigate integrating an authentication system with the client’s website and CRM which will allow members to use their website username and password to access online subscriptions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Find out how to integrate an authentication system with the CRM and Webpage
  • Work with IT and Webteam to investigate using OpenAthens Local Authentication, EZ Proxy or Shibboleth
  • Investigate options of single sign on (SSO) or IP fixing as a possibility
  • Present, explain and identify the best option to LAMs team

Why you’ll be hired

  • Experience of investigating the kind of authentication you need for the e-resources
  • Experience of supporting some or all the following – OpenAthens Local Authenticaiton, EZ Proxy or Shibboleth
  • Experience of Single Sign On (SSO) or IP fixing
  • Experience of integrating an authentication system with CRM and Webpage

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree or Professional qualification in Librarianship, Computing or Information Science.
