About the company

Our client is further education college in North West London who require a Part Time Learning Resources Assistant for 21 hours a week, to assist in providing a student-centred learning resource service

What you’ll be doing

Responsible to the Learning Technology Resources Manager, you will help users of the Learning Resources Centre and Open Learning Environment, to make the best use of the resources available.

Key Tasks

• Provide first line assistance for users and students in locating and using the best available resources
• Undertake helpdesk and enquiry duties
• Assist users with equipment and machines (PC’s Scanners, Printers etc)
• Shelving
• Assist with organisation and display of all resource material
• Cataloguing
• Update information on college LMS
• Assist with the upkeep of Moodle, maintaining up to date subject links
• Ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to

Why you’ll be hired

To be considered for this role you will require:

Essential

• Previous experience of working within a Library or Learning Resource Centre
• Experience of using online resources
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Strong IT skills (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
• Exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills
• Strong attention to detail
