About the company

A London based University is looking to hire a part-time Outreach Librarian to work within their specialist health and medical library.

What you'll be doing

This role is to be worked over 21.9 hours per week Wednesday to Friday. As an Outreach Librarian you will have a variety of responsibilities such as:

- Supporting in the delivery and development of library services for a range of customers, from students and academics to medical staff.
- Ensuring access to resources and providing any resource training required.
- Developing and delivering training programmes on information skills in either 1 to 1 sessions or to groups. As well as part of induction sessions and continuing group and department development.
- Contributing to the reader services support such as managing the issues desk on a route bases.
- Contribute to the provision of current awareness services.

Why you’ll be hired

To be consider for the Outreach Librarian job you will:

- Ideally be a qualified Library and information professional
- Have experience of working in the health or medical sector
- Have experience and knowledge of using Pubmed or Medline resources
- Have high level customer services experience.
- Have experience dealing with enquires
- Have experience of delivering information skills training
