We are currently recruiting for a Legal Engineer to join this highly regarded international law firm, a Legal Engineering team leading the way in creating innovative solutions for its legal and technology areas.

Automating documents forms a significant part of the workload of the Legal Engineering team, however the team are also involved in process mapping, creating windows, implementing on-line instruction systems, data extraction projects and delivering client facing extranet solutions, with a strong emphasis on the development of operational processes, procedures and documentation.

Working closely with the practice areas, you will promote automation solutions both within the business and as a client facing solution, supporting the practice areas both to automate their standard documents and to keep their collections accurate and up to date.

Key job responsibilities will include:

Engaging with lawyers to understand their processes and process mapping; design engineering

Using document automation software (Contract Express)

Using bespoke in-house software to scope projects and take requirements from internal and external clients to design and build innovative end-to-end workflow systems

Assisting with projects such as software upgrades and rolling out new developments to the firm

Fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team

The firm is flexible in terms of which location the successful candidate will be based, with offices based in Birmingham, Leeds, Glasgow and Belfast.

You will be highly proficient in the use of IT, interested in the development of new technologies, possess the ability to think logically and analytically, with proven organisational skills. 

You must also be a strong and confident communicator.

This is not a pure IT role, but does combine a systems element, a business engagement element and a business and process analysis element.
