This new group is hot property
This week in the charmingly pretty streets of W1 the IRMS Property Group held their inaugural meeting. Kindly hosted at Grosvenor’s offices and arranged by the Records Management team at British Land, the event welcomed an interesting mix of practitioners sharing their professional experiences and challenges.
James Lappin led the discussion with a very engaging walk-through of Sharepoint implementation theory in the property sector. There were good contributions all around the table from both property and non-property specialists, followed by a good discussion of what would make this a useful and effective professional group.
With the next meeting scheduled for July (a longer gap than will be usual due to the IRMS conference in May – at which you’ll see me and my colleague Lee Seymour), any information and records professionals with an interest in property related records management has plenty of time to clear their diary.
