About the company

A prestigious City law firm has a fantastic contract job opportunity for a qualified information professional to join their London-based Knowledge and Information team as a Research Librarian. You will work closely and collaboratively with your colleagues in the department to deliver a high quality knowledge, information and research service to the firm.

What you'll be doing

As part of the central Research and Information team you will provide a range of services across the different practice areas including responding to business and legal research enquiries; monitoring business information sources and providing current awareness updates; and delivering training on research databases.

Why you’ll be hired

Job applications are welcomed from experienced Legal and Business Research professionals who have worked in a similar dedicated Research and Information Service role within a legal or other professional services environment. You should hold a Library and Information Management degree qualification, be familiar with a range of legal and/or business information specialist subscription databases and have experience of presenting training on a one to one and group basis.
You will be commercially minded and possess excellent relationship-building and communication skills to be able to work directly and proactively with lawyers of all levels.
