About the company

A prominent not for profit organisation is looking for an Interim Data Protection Consultant to undertake an Information Audit as they prepare for GDPR. Data Privacy is a key concern and they want to ensure they are meeting the expected standards.

What you'll be doing

The project is about ensuring the organisation is ready for GDPR. The purpose of the Audit will be to analyse and map the various personal data they hold. You will be expanding their existing information asset register to include information about personal data.

Specifically the project outcome will focus on:

- Mapping repositories of personal data currently held
- Mapping of special category data and anonymised personal data
- Identify sources of data used and received
- Build a picture of where data is shared across the organisation and externally to include marketing purposes
- Report on any publishing of data or automated decision making processes
- Produce an action plan to identify and make actionable recommendations to fix the largest risks associated with the organisation and GDPR

Why you’ll be hired

Applications are welcome from Data Privacy / Data Protection experts who can demonstrate a track record in conducting large scale information audits, ideally in the not for profit sector. The successful applicant will have a strong grasp of upcoming legislation relating to GDPR coupled with excellent interpersonal and report writing skills. Whilst an understanding of Cyber Security and technologies are useful, this is not a technical assignment.
