I got to know Jeremy in early 2011, when I tried to secure my first employment in the information and library sector after graduating with a Master in Information Science from City University. Because of the recession my job hunt had not not going well and my confidence was at rock-bottom, when I registered with Sue Hill. As Jeremy handled my first application via the agency,  he struck me as very supportive and encouraging, while at the same time scrutinizing my CV to make sure that I fulfilled the necessary qualifications for the role. Despite attending an interview (which felt like a huge achievement after months of writing applications), I did not succeed, but Jeremy not only provided me with plenty of detailed and positive feedback on the interview, but within a couple of days was able to offer me a temporary position with another employer. This temporary stop-gap eventually evolved into a full-time permanent staff position. I always felt that Jeremy was really interested in helping his clients progress, instead of getting them into the first job available and then forgetting about them (my past, pre-Sue Hill experience of working with recruitment agencies).
